These Official Rules (“Rules”) govern the Xbox Cheeky Controller Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”). The Sweepstakes is sponsored by Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA, 98052, USA. Marvel Studios, LLC (“Marvel”), Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures (“Disney”), and their affiliates are not involved in sponsoring, administering, or providing prizes for this Sweepstakes.
Definitions
In these Rules, “Microsoft,” “we,” “our,” and “us” refer to the Sponsor. “You” and “yourself” refer to a Sweepstakes participant or the parent/legal guardian of any participant who has not reached the age of majority in their legal place of residence. By entering, you (or your parent/legal guardian if you are under the age of majority) agree to be bound by these Rules.
Entry Period
The Sweepstakes begins at 6:00 a.m. Pacific Time (PT) on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, and ends at 8:00 p.m. PT on Sunday, August 11, 2024 (“Entry Period”).
Eligibility
To enter, you must be a legal resident of an Xbox Console supported country or region, and be eighteen (18) years of age or older. If you are eighteen (18) years of age or older but have not reached the age of majority in your legal place of residence, you must have the consent of a parent/legal guardian to enter.
Employees and directors of Microsoft Corporation, Marvel, Disney, and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, and advertising agencies are not eligible. Persons involved in the execution or administration of this promotion or their family members are also ineligible. The Sweepstakes is void in Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, the Region of Crimea, Russia, and where prohibited by law.
How to Enter
No purchase is necessary. To participate:
- Create a new account or use an existing account on https://x.com/ (“Twitter”).
- Follow @Xbox at https://x.com/xbox/.
- Repost one of the Sponsor’s designated promotional posts containing #xboxcheekycontrollersweepstakes during the Entry Period. Reposts must be in the exact form as the original post to be eligible.
You will receive one (1) Sweepstakes entry for doing this.
Entry Criteria and Terms
All elements must be included to be eligible. Your Twitter account settings for the entry must be set to “unprotected” or “public.” Private accounts will not be eligible. Entries may not contain any obscene or offensive content, violence, defamatory or disparaging material, or illegal promotions. Entries with such content will be disqualified.
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Twitter. You understand that you are providing your information to the Sponsor, not Twitter. The information you provide will be used solely for administering the Promotion and to contact you if you are a winner.
The entry limit is one (1) per person and Twitter account. Attempting to obtain more entries by using multiple accounts, identities, registrations, or logins will void your entries and may result in disqualification. Automated systems are prohibited.
Winner Selection and Notification
Pending confirmation of eligibility, potential prize winners will be selected by Microsoft or their Agent within seven (7) days following the Entry Period in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received.
Potential winners will be notified via DM on Twitter within fourteen (14) days following the drawing with prize claim instructions. Winners must remain followers of @xbox for at least twenty-one (21) days following the Entry Period to receive notification communications. If a selected winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize, or fails to return any required forms, the selected winner will forfeit their prize, and an alternate winner will be selected. Only three (3) alternate winners will be selected; unclaimed prizes will remain unawarded.
Prizes
The following prizes will be awarded:
- One (1) Grand Prize: A Prize Package consisting of:
- A custom Xbox Series X Console inspired by Marvel’s Deadpool and Wolverine (ARV $440.00 USD).
- Two (2) custom Xbox Wireless Controllers inspired by Marvel’s Deadpool and Wolverine (ARV $319.98 USD).
- A custom Xbox Series X Console Stand inspired by Marvel’s Deadpool and Wolverine (ARV $100.00 USD).
The total Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of all prizes: $859.98 USD.
Only one (1) prize per person will be awarded during the Entry Period. No more than the stated number of prizes will be awarded. Prizes are non-transferable, and no substitutions are allowed except by Microsoft, who reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Prizes are awarded “AS IS” without warranty except for applicable manufacturer’s limited warranties.
Odds
The odds of winning are based on the number of eligible entries received.
General Conditions and Release of Liability
By entering, you agree to release and hold harmless Microsoft, Marvel, Disney, and their respective parents, partners, subsidiaries, affiliates, employees, and agents from any liability or any injury, loss, or damage arising in connection with this Sweepstakes or any prize won.
Microsoft reserves the right to cancel, change, or suspend this Sweepstakes for any reason, including cheating, technology failure, or other unforeseen events. If the Sweepstakes cannot be restored, winners will be selected from eligible entries received before the suspension.
Privacy
Personal data provided while entering the Sweepstakes will be used by Microsoft and/or its agents only for administering the Sweepstakes and in accordance with the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Governing Law
This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the State of Washington, and participants consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of Washington courts for any disputes arising from the Sweepstakes.
Winners List
To receive a list of winners who received a prize worth $25.00 USD or more, send an email to Info@xboxpromotions.com with the subject line “Xbox Cheeky Controller Sweepstakes winners” within thirty (30) days of August 11, 2024.
